Grey skies, cold chills but only warm heart's in Elandskloof.
Gen and Scott
Whenever we travel around South Africa, we are always on the look out for awesome new locations that we have never seen or even heard of. It’s part of the reason we love being wedding photographers, as it gives us excuses to dragged across our beautiful country and find these special little spots; hidden between mountains, in the bend of those slow winding rivers, or even just behind that forest that we always wondered about. So when we got our first mail from Gen telling us about her and Scott’s plans it would have been an understatement to say we were giddy with excitement.
Tucked away between Caledon and Greyton is this little valley called Elandskloof. As image makers we’d like to think that our photographs might have come close to capturing the epic beauty of this hidden gem of the Western Cape, but needless to say its worth a visit! The quaint Elandskloof farm cottages and dramatic mountains and rolling hills is a perfect spot to unwind, take a breath and cut yourself off from the messy business of civilization.
Which is exactly how Gen and Scott’s day felt, more like a peaceful holiday break with all these happy stranger so in love with just how inlove these two are. It rained, and they laughed.
The wind was freezing, so they cuddled. Plus, they both love their adorable kitties so damn much that it’s impossible not to instantly see how Gen and Scott are so freaken awesome!
