Surfers paradise, Mexican fiesta.

Hannah and Brad

“I'm moving far away
To a sunny place
Where it's just you and me
Feels like we're in a dream
You know what I mean

And we will sleep by the ocean
Our hearts will move with the tide
And we will wake in the morning
To see the sun, paint the sky”

- Coastline Hollow Coves

We have been holding onto this post for sometime now, as we waited for Hannah and Brad to return home from their honeymoon. Giving us time to reflect on this wedding, we ended our 2018 off on such a high after documenting this epic celebration in Wilderness along the Garden Route.

As we pulled into the parking lot at Vic Bay we quickly realised we were in for a treat. Friends laughing, the crisp smell of the ocean and a whiff of coconut surfboard wax filled the air as Hannah arrived for a Friday surf, appropriately dressed in her white one piece, vale in hand. Brad joked with mates that he hadn’t seen in months as they strolled towards the point, cooler box full of Mr Bing’s craft beers in hand. It felt like an epic reunion as their friends kept on pouring in, grabbing a drink and catching up before they padded out to catch a wave or two. And just like that the vibe for a perfect weekend was set!

Hannah and Brad may have met when they were still little groms at Cape St Francis’ legendary Seal Point, but their love and excitement to get married was a constant reminder that no matter how old your love may be, an desire to share adventures and explorations together will keep that love fresh and exciting. Perched on the mountain side overlooking the untamed beaches of Wilderness, Adelaine and her amazing team had decked out the Wilderness Backpackers in bright floral arrangements and Mexican theme festivities, inspired by Hannah and Brad’s recent travels and the corner of the world that they call home (following their instagram is jealously inspiring!).

The night rolled in and a tequila shot or two and a sparkler tunnel quickly turned into the jol to end all celebrations. Maybe it the relaxed nature that these two just exude with every action, or the collection of dear friends around a couple so clearly in love, but the party just continued to grow as the stars rolled in overhead.

We left the wedding with our handmade ice cream lolly in hand and very happy hearts that we got to be part of such a beautiful, vibrant celebration of this young love.
